Do Good, Be Good, Feel Good

Scholl & Arensdorf, LLP cares deeply for our community. We demonstrate our caring through various community outreach programs & events that we support and provide throughout our region. We believe by investing in our community we are helping the greater whole and fostering good stewardship. Creating synergy and collaborative outlets among area non-profits that focus on at-risk youth and families-in-need is one of the areas where we feel we are making the greatest impact. Together with local non-profits, we have developed working partnerships dedicated to the betterment of our region and beyond. From kinder to college we are investing in our future and securing our present.

Our community involvement is further fueled by supporting the arts in various forms. We are proud contributors and partners of the arts at:

  • Hartnell Community College Foundation featuring the Gala for the Arts. The Hartnell College Foundation is an independent, non-profit corporation organized by community-spirited citizens in 1979 to benefit the Hartnell Community College District. The Foundation plays an integral role in supporting the students, faculty, staff, and programs of Hartnell College by garnering corporate, foundation, and private support for the college.

  • HARA Motion Picture Conservatory, a performing arts-empowerment program for High School students throughout our county.

  • Hijos del Sol, a community-driven youth art organization lead by well-known artist Jose Ortiz, and in partnership with various programs and events throughout our tri-county area.

  • Pueblo del Mar Family Recovery Community, a joint partnership between the Housing Authority of the County of Monterey and Sun Street Centers, provides a safe, affordable, transitional housing program for homeless women with children, men with children, and families with children. Click here for more information.

  • LA CASA Adult Day Health Center, is licensed by the California Department of Public Health to develop a State of the Art Community Based Adult Service in Monterey County. The County is under-served, with a severe shortage in services for adults and seniors. The Center’s goal is to promote the well-being of the individual – physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually – so that individuals with impairments can maintain or restore their capabilities to their optimal functional potential.

  • Partners for Peace, has a 22 year history of serving families in Monterey County through their family/parent education courses. Their evidenced based courses reduce drug and alcohol use, truancy, violence in the home and help youth avoid gangs. They give parents 21st Century tools to deal with the 21st Century issues facing youth today. They help families thrive.

  • The First Tee of Monterey County through the Future Citizens Foundation offers young people of Monterey County opportunities for a better future. The Foundation accomplishes this through active involvement in life skills and golf skills that are learned at their campus, in the classroom and in service and mentorship to each other and the community.

We hope that we’ve inspired you to join and make a difference in your community. If you are interested in helping one of our causes or finding out more, please email cares@schollcpa.com.
